Thought I'd share some old pics

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been around... good to catch up with you guys again.

While on the shore last month, I talked my Grandmother into letting me take home some of her albums (picture albums, not her Charlie Ritch collection http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npF223WQHxs) so that I could scan / save some of the pics. She'd lost several to hurrican Isabel, and I didn't want to lose any more.

So, here you go:
Capt. Charlie "Nook" Moore with one of his Black Drum parties:

A little "Ink" for one of Pop's parties:

Sitting atop the cabin a boat he ran for Russell Hinman out of Oyster, VA:

Doing what he loved the most - Catching Red Drum:

His cousin, Capt. Jack Brady holding one caught the same day:

My Uncle Roy Allen holding one up... notice anything odd with this picture?

My Grandmother "Mamaw" (Bertha Moore) holding up a nice Tiderunner:

Pop after "scratchin' out some clams". While away on one of his 20 day tug boat trips, Mamaw painted his Chincoteague Scow for him... he never said a word:

A right of passage... my first hip boots. Not new by any means, but new to me:

My boy Ryland on the right and nephew Ethan... the "next generation". I'm sure Pop was looking down (maybe up) with a smile this day:

Box - yeah, Roy wasn't all there after noon most days. And I think he drove the Gremlin just hoping someone would say something.

BUT, the first thing that caught my eye was the snow on the ground. Up on VA's Eastern Shore, that had to be March, maybe April. I might have to start fishing for them a little earlier than usual.

Shoot, I asumed that was sand from being down here on the coast, never thought about snow...
Very cool old pictures, loved seeing them...
