I think you will find that everybody including the rec guys work pretty close together to find fish in southern NC and northern SC. I fished out of Southport for many years and we always tried to help anyone who was out deep. I went out of Southport a few weeks back and things have not changed the few that were out and in search mode were helping each other out. You wont have the traffic you do out of Morehead, Wilmington, or OI. The downside is the long run depending on where you are going. If you are bottom fishing the run is not to bad but the offshore run can be anywhere from 45-70+ Miles from the Myrtle beach area. Lots of good folks to fish along side of....Mark
