IS THERE A SHOEGOD? THANKS SPERRY

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ALL WILL SAY....WE ALL KNOW I HAVE BEEN AN LOYAL ADVOCATE OF SPERRY'S NOW DELETED 870 NEW BALANCE DECK SHOES...I AM AN ATHLETE AND ATHLETES WEAR PROPER SHOES....THE ONLY ATHLETES I SEE NOT WEARING SHOES ARE GYMNASTIC AND SWIMMING....I GUESS YOU COULD PLAY PING PONG WITH NO SHOES....BUT IN MY PIT...WHEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE PROPER FOOTWEAR IS THE NAME OF MY GAME....I VALUE MY FEET AND THAT IS ONE REASON WHY I AM STILL IN THIS GAME TODAY....PROPER DECK SHOES...ONES THAT GIVE ME SUPPORT AND PROTECTION AGAINST FLYING OBJECTS

AND YES....YES I DID SWAY A BIT FROM SPERRY AND BOUGHT A PAIR OF RUGGED SHARKS....THEY WERE VERY NICE BUT CARRIED WAY TOO MUCH COWHIDE AND WEIGHED 2 POUNDS EACH.....FORTUNATELY FOR ME, MY 100 DOLLAR RUGGED SHARKS WERE STOLEN RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER MY CARPORT A FEW WEEKS AGO......IT TOOK ME A WEEK TO GET OVER THE FACT THAT SOME DEGENERATE SORRY ASS THIEF WALTZED RIGHT UP TO MY GARAGE AND LIFTED THEM IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

SO THIS SET ME BACK ON MY QUEST TO FIND THE PERFECT KILLING SHOE....ONE THAT WEIGHS VIRTUALLY ZERO POUNDS , SUPPORTS MY ARCHES AND CUSHIONS THE DAILY BLOW OF OFFSHORE BANGING.

WELL BLOW ME DOWN....I JUST DIDN'T GIVE MR SPERRY A FAIR CHANCE...MY BAD! I WAS SO ENTWINED WITH BEING DISAPPOINTED WITH THE DELETION OF THE 870'S THAT I OVERLOOKED THE SHOEGOD'S NEWEST CREATION: THE AVS TOPSIDER http://www.sperrytopsider.com/asv/index.jsp

SINCE ARRIVAL OF MY SPERRY AVS'S....I HAVE REDUCED KNEE PAINS....AND REDUCED SHIN DISCOMFORT DRAMATICALLY DUE TO MY DAILY OFFSHORE BANGING

I AM THE ONLY INTERNET WRITER/VIDEOGRAPHER WHO HAS SUPPORTED SPERRY FOR YEARS THROUGH MY WRITINGS AND VIDEOS....FROM HIKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL TO STICKING YELLOWFIN TUNAS .....NOW ONE ASKED ME TO DOES THIS AND I HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT SPONSOR AND WITHOUT SPERRY EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING A HELLO MR BOX ......AND JUST LIKE THE TIAGRA 80, INDIRECTLY, I HAVE SOLD MORE SPERRY 870 'S THAN ANY MAN ALIVE....AND THAT IS FACT, NOT FICTION

SPECIAL NOTE: THAT IS A CUTE AVS PROMOTIONAL VIDEO YOU HAVE ON THE SPERRY WEBSITE MR SPERRY....BUT

DUHHH....HOWEVER, I THINK MY SPERRY TRIBUTE VIDEO DESERVES SOME HONORABLE MENTION BUT SADLY ENOUGH...I CANNOT UPLOAD IT HERE

    ROCK ON....

    'SHOEBOX....

HECK I EVEN WEAR MY NEW SPERRYS TO CHURCH

Thanks for the shoe report. I have those same Rugged Sharks. The soles have separated from the actual shoe around the toe and heel in a little over a year and I don't even wear them that much. Only the middle of the shoe is connected. Yes, they are very bulky too.

I wish Sperry made bigger sizes.

Box, it's funny that you posted this. I meant to put a post on here a few days ago about some new Sperry's that I found. I got the Amphibious model from them which looks similar to what you have. SUPER light, great support and all the water drains out instantly. Here's a link to the ones I got:

I'll never buy another pair of those leather Rugged Sharks or Sperry's....going to buy another couple pairs of these and be good to go for a while.

I might have to give them a try as I too would only use the sperry/new balance. Proper footware is very important to me and can mean the difference in walking safely on the bow in the morning or taking a swim. And skidding along in the pit is no fun as well. I need my feet and they better have some traction and be comfortable. The old sperry's I wore everywhere.

Hey guys, how do these run in term of size, and what is the best place to get them price wise? Do they run big or small, or just get your regular size?
