thanksgiven duck hunt

we killed 16 ducks before noon. we missed some big fat red heads but you cant get them all!!
3 mallards
3 buffle heads
2 wigeon
2 blackheads
6 ruddy ducks

Nice hunt. I went with a friend and decided to hunt the James River between a few farms. We did nicely on wood ducks and had several small groups of mallards in the area. Shot the first mallard of the season. On the way out to get him, keep in mind he is bobbing around head layed over on one side, so on the way out to get him he all of a sudden looks over at me and takes off straight up and flies damn near 300 yards before I lost sight of him. I think he was playing dead the entire time just to sling it in my face...

Marty I will get up with you soon about coming up around christmas time frame if you want to video some of them. It would be great to have you film one of our guide blowing 2 duck calls at once and seeing the ducks just dump in to death!!
