Got a call a couple days ago from Baywolf needing some help for a mutual friend with a half day trip this morning and all I can say it was my pleasure
Left the waterfront this am with some of the USMC's finest young guns, guys and gals! They are all stationed at Camp Johnson completing their classroom training, bright, polite and down to earth, great group.
Headed east along Bird Shoal and Shack with nothing nibbling so Capt. heads us west and the nibbles start. Several of the group turn green pretty quick, one retreats to the head , the ladies retreat to the AC and the others take turns on the rods. Pretty slow but they managed 12 nice spanish and 8 fat blues, then things got intersting to say the least.
Ladies return in what I'm sure isn't USMC issue uh swimwearSweet Jesus the Marines have lovely's, between the T and A, uh I mean running gear I didn't know weather to chunk the rest of the gang and attack. Then I regained my composure and professional attitude I had displayed up to this point.
Luckily Capt. said times up and I hauled in the rigs for the run back to the dock. Man what running gear!!!!Poor guys forgot to bring a cooler for their fish but since they had been such a lovely bunch I hooked them up with one of mine for the ride home.
It was a honor to fish with these guys and Babes, young men and women serving this great country and defending our freedom, thank you!
Rick you missed a good one

They had decided last minute to go fishing since their CO gave them a small window of freedom for Sunday. But I was sure to get them the info for the event for next year, really great group
