As many of you know my company has a working relationship with Marty and has so now for nearly two years. I also never get involved with any of the crap bashing that goes on, no matter who the instigator may be and how much a smart –azz comment might make myself laugh. I keep my mouth shut. However, I must say that having been around Marty recently I can see how taxing this has really been and am compelled to say something, somewhere. The cause of the crap comes from a very few. Public displays of private matters are really distasteful. This place really is his world, so to speak, yet others come in and disrupt it, often for just for shits and giggles. The recent notion to have a new place here to continue that behavior is a pitiful suggestion. I like BiteMe and sincerely don’t believe his intent was anything other than good will. He is, in fact, a class act. Regardless, this is a fishing site. Please… young and old come here in see what’s written. You want bashing? Go to myspace and do it there.
If you've ever been in Marty’s presence, you will find an often intense man with opinions of his own that most people would never say out loud, yet have those very thoughts pass through their minds. Hell, if you ever fish with him and have taken his class, don't forget your gear! You will get sent below. Anyway, I tip my own riggers to that ability. I can tell you that while he is outwardly opinionated, seemingly self centered and sometimes well... controversial, he has been and continues to be an honest, trustworthy and a diligent person to deal with. Surprised many of you? I tend to think so. Before we approached him, I was given a few words of advice from others here on the site. Not sure why. Maybe people who don't know how to take his mannerisms form unfounded negative opinions. I can only say that the real DUDE is just as I have described nothing less in my book. As well, his hours and hours of help to us and charitable organizations in one of his busy months is more than some here will perform in a lifetime… an example for many to follow.
Keep up the good work Marty. The people at Finrazor and its affiliates have enjoyed knowing you.

The shame of it is, some people want to attack others and hate them for what they do. I hate this, jealousy and greed are not good quality's in anyone. I have also seen what this does to Box, and I don't know how he puts up with it or why. I stopped being on a couple of boards because of the bickering and bashing...I was over it, and for that matter...still am. I think from my responses, you all know where I stand. When I came on this board, I was brought here by a great friend and was told this board was different and should check it out...and at the time it was...refreshing I thought, people were shearing information. Well, we still are sharing information but the attitudes of some are almost more than I can bare.
I have said this before and will say it again...kids learn from what adults do and say...next time you want to jump on someone, stop and ask your self if this is how or what I want my kid to do...
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors....but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.
