I saw this picture a couple of weeks ago. It was taken by a Vanessa Martin who is a kayak fishing guide at Oak Island. Alligators could have had a big meal.

Cool picture. If you duck hunt any of the public land around here during deer gun season, you'll see deer swim across the creeks and rivers all day long to escape the dogs.
I recognize that marsh...
Looks like someone needs a stand over in those trees.
in-between the airport and st. james.... inland side![]()
Very cool. I see them from time to time, this one was in South River last year...
I would suggest a top water plug, red and white.![]()
Brings back memories from the 80's including a special 74 year old friend Jan that was on this one special duck hunt. Billy had dropped off the hunters in pairs to the blinds from his pontoon. After they finished the morning hunt they were heading back to pick us up along with the others. Jan spots a huge buck swimming the lake and ask Billy to get closer. CLOSER Jan said to Billy and at the last second grabs his 12ga with duck load and makes swiss cheese out of his ears. Billy said WTF are you doing, we'll be arrested for this. Jan replied that at 74 he didn't think he would get another chance on a trophy of this class. They drug it on the bow and continued to pic us up. Talking about shot nerves, we were all shaking from his actions. Old school hunter he was back in his days.
