Swell Rider Sportfishing.. Report 11/23/08

Well it's BFT season and we were at it early again today, couldn't ask for a better ocean flat but cold. with all this weather the cold water moved in. We started working offshore abit to find some warmer water and bait it took awhile but we found a nice temp break that went from 55 to 63. Worked the area for a couple hrs when we got blasted on both planners never came tight but lost the shollow planner, BFT or a Shark we'll never know!! Same thing happened last yr but we came tight on one of them that resulted in a 500# BFT . Pulled baits til about 1pm and then finished up with alittle grouper fishing, figured that since it's closing Jan 1 will hit the Gags one more time. Found a nice pile of gags and big sea bass to finish off the day, thanks to Bryne Hunt and Gregg K for the help today. Know more bottom fishing till next yr. It's all business now!! Ken

Those are some nice Gags on a pretty beautiful Lake!
