I have read the book but it was years ago...so the movie will be new to me

Krakour (spelling) has some other good books...Into thin air was great as was another I believe it was called Eiger dreams or something like that...it was about various climbing expeditions.

I have to say Alaska was a very Humbling exp...For me it was home for many years as well as my career for 22 plus. It's a place that will put you in check mighty quick. That ego and chip was knocked off my shoulder many years ago. Fishing up there is no joke it can turn deadly real quick. I know to many guys that never made it back, everytime they ring the bell in Kodiak for those that were lost at sea the whole town comes to a stop, theres a few boxes of tissues being used up on those days. It's a great place though. Since I started this thread It's brought back alot of memories good and bad. I have a bunch of stories I'd like to share over time. I am also coverting my VHS tapes to DVD so if it all works I'll have some video's as well. Ken

Great post Ken. Keep on making us wonder what we're doing in our little cocoons heres!
Alaska remains on the To Fish-Hunt List and my boys really want to go there after all the stories from 2 uncles that worked there over 20 years too... A good place to have nature test you!
Mid april will be here soon then you'll be back on the water with less wind, the fish are waiting for your bait!
