Stripers from Rudee in the cold

We (Taylor Perdue, Tanner Gray, and myself) made a second trip to Rudee Inlet from Topsail in search of something we don't usually fish for and found what we were looking for. We trailered the Reel Dream up to Virginia Beach over the holiday break for a cold, but good, time with a day and half of fishing. The extreme cold had pushed the fish way south in North Carolina requiring a freezing 45 mile run each way to get to the fish. It paid off. Taylor and Tanner each tied for the Whiner Award this trip about the cold (I would have been a contender but my lips were frozen shut). We have some additional good eating to help us ration our Grouper supplies over the next several months.

All but one fish were caught on 8 oz and 4 oz Chartreuse Tandom Rigs.

    Thumbs up

Awesome job! I guess I should have gone light, we pull 24oz. and heavier to get down when fish are deep. I hope your putting some video together from your trip!
