    Thumbs up

Thanks for all the info here. I'll try a few of the tips here including rubber bands and possibly pulling further back off the center. My biggest problem was the heavy drag stretch 25's have produced. They will be in the water for more kings to destroy, just trying to make them run better. Definitely the info I was looking for to eliminate some trial/era while on the water. We pull them for striper and may have to play with the 30's or possibly a 50. The Rapala sounds good as we can't get over 3 without problems when seas are not smooth and lure speed changes when the boat pitches over a big wave.

Netman- We fish them all the time up here for stripers and blues. No flat line clip, no rubber bands. We put them out on ultralight trolling gear (pflueger trolling rods), 40 lb mono running line or braid, 80 lb mono leader so we can lift the fish into the boat without putting a gaff in it or using a net. The stretchs trebles are a real pain to deal with when they get tangled in a net. We use levelwinds and star drag reels, about 4-o size, nothing as large as a 30 or 50. We run two wire line outfits on outrodders pulling bunker spoons or umbrella rigs on the outsides and one or two stretches down the middle.

Second the Rapala x-rap magnum, they are the best DEEP diving lure that stays down at speed, don't use a big leader or multiple large swivels the water pressure drags the lure back to the surface as you speed up and the lure has to fight this.
Yozuri Hydro Magnums are also good but don't dive as deep as the x-rap.

Will a flatline be able to hold the stretch 25 so the reel can be fished with a lighter drag? Thanks, Netman
Never had any problems running them with these. I keep them @ 3-4knots though.

We used them one winter out at 210 Rock to mangle up quite a few kings, fished on the flat 20ft. off the stern using a couple heavy rubber band together to hold them, the slow speed really makes them wobble, I mean swim

This was going to be my suggestion. Get some #64 rubberbands and lash it to the cleat or stern eye
