Stranded wire VS Solid Piano wire
Which do you prefer for Hoo's I like the solid 1 fish per rig but I have wacthed too many kingfish chew trough stranded wire at the boat the 7 strand wire is made up of 7 small strands of wire if the wire gets bit down on in the same area 7 times fish gone I know stranded is easer to tie and can be used more then once but solid wire is harder to bite trough and less of a chance of losing the fish. Whats your opinion

Solid
I like the solid wire myself. Used the coated multistrand wire some but seems like once it got hit it got narled up bad and didnt perform as well.

When it comes to wire, I vastly prefer single strand for most applications. It's less expensive, easy to "tie", is the most tooth-proof of them all, and lasts a long time, as long as you don't kink it. For most lure and dead bait troll rigging I use just under and a bit over (the wire makers seem to have abandoned the old numbering system for diameter) 100#.
Cable is costly, requires more parts and tools, sharks can bite thru it, and when it starts to fray the little wire spars that stick out of it will cut you up.
The problem with plastic coated wire is that it gets little holes in it from fish bites, saltwater enters those holes and is trapped with the wire and stainless or no, corrosion happens and weakens the leader.

My best friend has a 65 footer
I'm with FinRazr, #7 or 8 Piano, eight ft leaders, small swivels and have fun. Caught plenty of Tuna fish on this set up as well. Flouro is over rated in the blue water imo.

Solid Brotha! SOLID!!!!!
Or as some might call it single strand.
I like 27# and sometimes 32# for live bait for kings. I have used #6 for live baiting wahoos back in the day with DAMIFINO with large menhaden at the 90 ft drop/AR305 or is it 302 area in August and September.
Wahoo only and other offshore ballyhoo use I like bright stainless or Piano in #8 or #9 if need be.
Did you know that piano wire has more tensile strength than stainless wire?
When you break off a piece by twisting the lil handle you make, watch how easy stls breaks vs. piano.

From Wahoo Troller's Bible...
"A word of advice on single strand leader length if you are in wahoo country. Long ago and the hard way I learned to keep my wahoo leaders short, about three feet or even less. This is because if the lure slides past and behind his body while he's running, and that is a regular event, the lure trails behind the hooked fish at wharp speed and another wahoo or even a king that whacks it can easily bite it and your 'hoo off. If you keep the leader short, the lure will run alongside the hook wahoo (or other fish's, for that matter) body and it won't get touched. Man, as you know by now, I HATE losing wahoo and if you do to, shorten up on that wire, my friend."
