Hey Stormtrooper,please contact me at Masonboro Yacht Club and Marina.791-1893 ask for David.There seem's to be another problem here because the pawn shop in question has probably done something that is not legal.One of my slip owner's at my marina is in charge of the detective's in NHC.He is also in charge of stolen property and pawn shop's.Please give me a call and let's try to figure out how this will not happen to somebody else and take down the scumbag's that lied to you.I am at Masonboro Yacht Club off Masonboro Loop road. Call or come by.I am there everyday.

Sit down Shut up And fish
I went through this with an ass hat on Ebay. Had a paper trail in three states that lead back to yup a pawn shop. He is no longer in the rip off trade. On a positive note we burned him for $300.00 bucks before I had him busted.
Some times you win. Don't let the shit bag off! Scotty.

As a pawnbroker for 22 yrs I can give you the following advice;
1 Ck with the city-rules (laws) regarding hold-periods on purchases.
Here in Winston-salem we are required to hold every item we purchase for
10 days(pawns require 90 days) before we can dispose of them. (this gives the PD a chance to ck if
said items are legitimate. (state law is 48hrs)
2 I electronically give the local PD a copy of ALL transactions done in my
shop the following day before noon.(city-rule)
In your case it sounds to me the pawnbroker is at much fault as is that POS thief.
Trust me, taking in stolen goods is BAD business in my business, I loose trust by the community and loose the money I invested in the merchandise once it has been recovered.
If I can be of any assistance feel free to PM or call me @336-413-6562
PS For what it's worth; out of the approx 14000 transactions I did last yr ONLY 14 items turned out to be stolen and 9 of them was "domestic" theft (son or daughter pawning/selling daddy's stuff) Granted, it happens in my business but not at the extend the media will make you believe.
Most stolen merchandise ends up at fleamarkets and buy/sell shops (including jewelrystores) because those businesses are NOT required to report their transactions. (with a few exemptions in some cities)

Stormtrooper-
I live in Wilmington and have some tld20s I rarely use and also some kingfish livebait rods I never use. If interested, send me a private message and you can borrow them for as long as you need them, and if you like them, I'll make you a good deal.
I had the same thing happen a few years back with Jim's Pawn. Scumbags.
