Both a pain in the butt to clean and both are in the drum family... If they don't get to big we keep them other than that just fun to catch...Both very palatable...I like eating trout over drum no question about it... to windy today to go outside so we stayed close and had to weed out the small ones.....Geoff have you been doing any inside fishing lately or mostly offshore?

I am with you. I prefer the trout. I do like to cook the small reds on the grill. I have been fishing inside for the last few weeks mostly. Blame that on fuel prices and great inside fishing. The Captain and I have been logging some serious water time over the last few weeks, thank God.

    Nice mixed bag Steve!
I like a speck very much, but i think that a nice puppy drum 20 - 25 " is an excellent eating fish. Stuffed and baked or just filleted and sauteed will give a trout a run for the money.
