Starting another project.

here are some pics of the homemade launcher for the Hobie II that was made this winter out of mahogany. the trickiest part seemed to be getting it to fit in the chair (we had the back to the chair as a template but it enters at a weird angle).

Yours is sweet... I love the wood, how many coats of finish did you put on that bad boy? I am just too busy and lazy to do that right now. I will see how this one works out for the season. Possibly build a wooden one next winter.

You could always carve out exact cavities for your chosen pliers, arrow - and guarantee that it doesn't become a junk drawer...

Thats a good idea.... even with the dividers, knowing my crew, they would throw other stuff in there.

The prototype is finished and installed....

I am running the boat to Cape May this weekend and I figured that I would use my prototype to see if there are any changes that I want to make before building my finished product.

Here it is all installed.

There was some discussion of the strength of this... so I will let everyone know how it holds up. I am hoping for the best and expecting the worst.... we will see.
