A SGT. IN THE USMC, ASKS THAT IF YOU COULD LET PEOPLE KNOW JUST WHAT STARBUCKS FEELS ABOUT THE WAR AND THE PEOPLE IN IT,THIS IS A TRUE STORY;


RECENTLY MARINES IN IRAQ WROTE TO STARBUCKS BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH THEY LIKED THEIR COFFEES AND TO REQUEST THAT THEY SEND SOME OF IT TO THE TROOPS THERE.

STARBUCKS REPLIED, TELLING THE MARINES THANK YOU FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF THEIR BUSINESS BUT THAT STARBUCKS DOES NOT SUPPORT THE WAR NOR ANYONE IN IT AND THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEND THE TROOPS THEIR BRAND OF COFFEE.

I believe that, I also heard that they sell their coffee's at a higher price b/c a certain % goes to put the less fortunate thru school. Not a surprise on bit

Speaking from experience, my company went through at least 2 bags of starbucks a day while in Iraq for 7 months. It was all supplied by them. We were no different than any other unit- it was everywhere. I think we had 5 or 6 silver bullet coffemaker casualties - they just quit after so much abuse.

If they support our troops like Tankerfly said than i admire them for their efforts.

Still don't like their coffee but that's admirable to say the least.
