SPOT HEADS MHC AREA???

Wierd request..but here goes. drum season coming and id like to stock freezer with a BUNCH of food saver'd spot heads..



so...if any of you in the MHC are go spot fishing...or..know someone that does...or know how to get ahold of about a cooler full of spot heads..id be MUCH OBLIGED!!

hell, if you catch a cooler full of spots ILL CLEAN THEM FOR YA IF I CAN GET THE HEADS!

It's been a while for me and might be a little of a ride for you, but go to Bryant's Seafod in Jacksonville. My mom lives there and gets spots all the time. They sell and clean them for people all day long. I'm sure you could stock up there. Or you could just buy yourself a 50lb. box for @$50.00 fresh and clean them yourself. Have a fish fry and stock your freezer with heads at the same time.

But another place you might wana try is hittin up the piers..as im sure you already know. But some of them guys would be more then happy to let you clean their fish

yeh i know, been to bogue (2 minutes from the crib) , and no one is gettin enuf to keep me there all day waiting for them to clean 5 fish lol..


might just go out in the yak and catch some cobb mullet...


id like a bunchhhh of spot heads though trim them down a little, put em in the foodsaver about 20 in a pack, and salt em , ballin drum bait..throw far too.

In the next few weeks the spots and mullet should show up in mass. I'd go down to your local seafood house that sells fresh spots, and just ask them to throw all the heads in your cooler when they are cleaning them. I'm sure nobody would mind. Then slip him a few bucks for the effort.

score. went to the pier and got me a bucket full people cleaning em earlier today. worked out good.

also went down to the inlet and netted bout 100 mullet too, brined and they are resting in some food saver bags all sucked up
