There is no single Sportfishing Capital Of The World...
To many great areas to single 1 out. Each area has great fishing for something but all are diffrent. It all depends on where & what you like to fish for as to wither it is your Sportfishing Capital Of The World...
I'll throw in DR. Punta Cana can have some of the best billfishing you will ever experience. If you fish down there in May and June you wil get double digit shots at whites and a blue or 2 daily. They continually build new facilities and marinas and it is still relatively cheap. Its an easy trip to PR where you can fish the Mono passage. Just my 2cents.
Definitely, I'm from Jersey and vacationed to OBX many times and its is definitely the SF capitol of the world. Where else can you catch as many big Mahi as you want,Makos, Whaoo, BFT, YFT, White Marlin and Blue Marlin all in one day. You can also do this off the coast of Jersey but between the Canyons and 20/30 line it would be a long day!
I can't rule out Jersey though, BFT, YFT, Wahoo, Bmarlin, WMarlin, Makos, Stripers etc. I just hate the 60+ mile run to the Canyons. Thats why I chose OBX, you can't beat a 30 mile run and Giants!!!!
