    South River / Merrimon water acces?

    These guys want to do some exploring towards Oriental...
    Any advice on where a public launch in that area is located coming from Beaufort would be very welcome!

    MM, I thought there was a wildlife ramp in Merrimon but I don't see any signs of it on thier website. Have heard of people talk about it in the past but have never needed to put over that way. Good spot to put in if they don't mind paying a few dollars is Sea Gate Marina. Nice run through the ditch to the river and directly across from Oriental. Good fishing spots along the way and just out of Adams Creek in the river.

    Box, the Tarpon and drum will be safe, they like to box fish but love to release them too....
    This is a duck area exploring trip too...
