I thought this was alarming...

I just looked at this time lapse radar images of Ike from Cuba to present and I do not see any westward jog. It could be I am reading it wrong and I hope I am but that thing looks pretty straight.

That's what I was sayin'. I still haven't seen the change in course that all the "experts" are predicting.

The last update I saw on "The Weather Channel" was still showing the tracks that were forecasted while the eye was over Cuba? Is this really the most accurate and recent info they have?

If so it's pathetic.

Careful out there Alex. Speaking from experience while on the water (hurricanes Bob and Hugo), if you turn your back on a hurricane it will bite you in the ass . Looking forward to some pics.

arite, this should be good for a laugh...

Pos 28.09.9N
089.00.3W

Course 095
Speed 1.5Kts...
We are moving about a speed of 2.5kts to the north
When we tripped our thrusters, we were moving backwards at 3.5kts.

Seas are every bit of 25-27ft with an occasional train of 35-40fters just for shits.

Wind is a stead 55. with gusts up to 65kts.

im takin pictures, but it wont do any justice. nothing to scale them against. we get to the top of one wave and its like looking down the side of a cliff.
