that wave hit the hull, but thats the same spot i fish from (bout 60ft +/- off the water) so all your seeing is the spray. if we start takin green water on the bow i will be a happy f*cker, cause seas will be about 30-35ft by then and we will be rocking all over the place.

kinda want something to break up in the mast so i have to climb up top tonite. is that bad?

if everything goes as predicted, closest point to the eye wall will be around 130-150miles due south. that puts us with in the hurricane force winds which could be extending out to 140nm tomorrow if it continues to intensify.

we dont have all those fancy computers putting together all the likely paths for us, but we all noticed that tropical storm lowell is pushin ashore in mexico. if that happens, it could drive the high pressure ridge further north, which would then push ike further north, aka la...

my prediction, somewhere between sabine pass and houma

It's always been my experience that life is not worth living unless you continue to walk the fine line between total chaos and perfect control. You my friend are right there. Wish I was with you. Good luck and God Speed!

Similar to my view: "i am the fine line that separates determination from insanity"

dont remember who said that.
