    Nice wahoo and good work! I know how hard it is watching what someone else film what you want them to capture. It's not their fault. Filming good quality footage is not so easy. What camera are you using Marty? Are you using any lenses or filters with it? It did not look as such. There are a few simple additions that will do wonders. Something that works very well for the gunnel or side shot is either a rain coat (to protect the cam from splash) for the cam or even better a water proof housing. You can attach a pole to the housing and drop it under water to get really nice fish shots. Also, when you use the zoom, any motion is magnified so as to make it very hard to stay on the object you are filming. Try and use a monopod or small tripod to achieve max stability.
