Great report Brian. Don't sound like you are as inexperienced as you claim, modest. Something that has worked for me when they come in and nibble or look is the crank and drop. Crank as fast as you can for about 10 ft then do a quick drop. I have done this increasing the distance of crank almost up to the short rigger. Several times they got so fired up they looked like a snake chasing the bait and when I do the drop they crash it. Keep up the good work Brian.

Thank you very much for the tips Rick and Lee. I will be trying these on the next trip out for them when the time presents itself.

Everything I have learned over the past 2 years has been from fishing with folks on this site and reading everyone's ideas/tricks and techniques. I greatly appreciate the time ya'll took to share.
