Amen Lou love to hear the old i troll at 6 knots, always watch your baits sometimes you gotta slow down with the tide speed up against it guys who have fished in big seas know the drill. PS if you want to check the tide stop when you get there and check your drift also watch your speed over ground say NE 6.8 kt and SW 4.2 kt then you have 1.3 kt of tide as long as you are doing the same rpm each way. Your true sog is 5.5 kts. Like Lou said i've been 9-10 kts with the tide and 3 against it.

two words ...............sweet spot = the spot on the throttles that the wash and the rpm and all the other vibs and bubbles come together and jive to make the perfect presentation. diffrent on every boat but it's...........just great when it is there

Thanks to all that replied. Last year i did notice paying attention to the RPMS was better than speed. I am still learning to watch the baits more closely. Thanks again.
