Snotty ride and BOX in spread!

Man was it a snotty ride home yesterday from the SWB Hole. Nice ride out, lines in 7:30, first fish on the planer, big gaffer in the box. Picked at them most of the day, 7 extra passengers for the ride home. Caught 1 on top plug that swam up to the boat on the troll!

We had planned to try the bottom but the stiff NE/E wind had us moving at a good clip.

Most exciting time of the day was when I had cranked the planer in to check and the PIG hoo came calling. Planer still on the line laying in the bucket and hand lined leader in the floor, 30ft. out collision. Blink of a eye the 130ft. leader was gone, out of the bucket came the planer, I managed to back the drag off, but not fast enough before el pig caught high gear,POW!!! All my rigging held, except for the hook! 9/0 Mustad must have really got pulled open and broke in the bend, first for me but could happen anytime.

Took a while but we plowed our way thru the inlet before 5 with a few fish in the box, blood on the deck was washed away soon after getting on plane

Cruising thru MHC we spot the MAN! The Dodge looking to merge and go west, eventually coming up in the spread, not sure if he was eye balling the vast aray of weaponry being dispalyed but he finally came up the starboard side. I think we scared him by blowing the horn when he got beside us, he looked over to see the grin and thumbs up and took a right at the hospital Sorry BOX, it's not everyday us little guys get to see the big fish on the prow!!

Congrats to the BIG OH, released a Whitey way up in the shallows yesterday, nice going guys!
