    Sniper Leaders,

Marty I've rigged up a rod for your Sniper Rod set up to try on my boat. It's not exactly like what you use, can't swing the big "gold reel" yet. I'm using a good sized Shimano bent butt, with a 9/0, I don't think it'll handle a #24, but does well with a #12. I tried it last week, I can already see that it has a definite place on my boat. I've been using 2 downriggers, this frees up space and adds to my spread. I'm going to try a #16 next trip out, we'll see. All that being said, my question comes down to leaders. I am using approx 130 ft of 60lb mono behind my PowerPro on the reel. I've added 18ft of flourocarbon to my bait. Is the flouro neccesary fishing "down" like this. Any advice on leader make-up? Your input would be appreciated. Thanks for the time and videos, it really helps guys like me out.Frank

FLUORO?.......MAYBE IF YOU WERE TARGETTING YFT....BUT FOR WAHOOS AND GENERAL MEATFISHING....NOT NECESSARY IN MY OPINION.....SAVE THE MONEY AND APPLY IT TO A TIAGRA 80

8 COILS OF FLUORO EQUAL A NEW TIAGRA

130FT OF SUFFIX 100-130 LB REGULAR LINE AND A 3 FT SHOT OF #8 OR #9 WIRE TO THE HOOK
