THERE'S NOTHING SPECIAL HERE....JUST YOUR NORMAL WINTERTIME COMMERCIAL BOAT RIDE
JUST THOUGHT THOSE OF YOU THAT CAN'T GET OUT ON THE WATER TODAY WOULD ENJOY A 5 MINUTE FOGHAT CRUISE ABOARD THE NIGHTHAWK....
ZERO VISIBLITY AT 5:10 A.M.

Thanks for sharing.... Got our share with extra low tides last week having to wait for the tide to come up in the S turn next to Harkers....
Wishing for colder weather to keep this fog away!

Thanks for the vid Marty.
We know that feeling all too well up north here. In the spring we get socked in all the time.
Ran from Sandy hook to Montauk in May two years ago and couldn't see 20 feet in front of the boat the whole way until I rounded Montauk point.... thank God for radar!!!!
I needed a 2 hour massage to get the stress out of my neck after that trip.
Be safe out there guys...
Never a good time running in the fog during O dark hours, Can wear ya down pretty quick. Nice to see you bringing the reality of business to the computer screen whether being bad or good. Nice work to the Capt. and crew.
T.D.
Another video from your world Box, thanks for sharing. If I had a video of my weekend, replace the fog with snow, and thats how it looked for me.![]()
Looking forward to the next video, I have a feeling it will be of another funeral aboard the Nighthawk.
lol I see you found my channel..... have a nice x-mass good luck the rest of the season..
Yeah Box, you would love it up here off of Chatham. That is what we get all the time... Z-E-R-O vis for 38 miles out so we can troll around in the fog in the shipping lanes. Fun?!?!! I feel your pain brother. Good luck to both of you guys and have a Merry Christmas. Enjoy the break because I have a feeling you two guys are going to get hot! Capt. Eric
Box,
Cool infra-red.
"So you want to be a commercial fisherman" - 5:10AM -put on a blindfold and give it a shot - no thanks.
Glad everyone made it out and back - safe and sound![]()
After just two days of getting up at 3:30AM I've learned that I'm not cut out for what you guys do day in and day out. A few days here and there and I'm OK, but it's really remarkable what ya'll do.
That fog was freakin thick and throwing in the mix how narrow that channel can be, I really respect what you guys do to make a living. (didn't a local boat run aground that morning?)
I really like that infra-red feature. I gotta get one of those cameras.
