    slip's report 5/22

I had the opportunity to fish with Keith (Bottom Dweller) today. Two feet every nine seconds at Frying Pan Tower sounded pretty good for an offshore run. We both agreed that we would head offshore and troll for dolphin first and then come back inshore to try the groupers. We headed offshore, planning on going 47 miles and looking along the way for flyers, weed lines, floating debree or anything that looked like it would hold Mahi. 36 miles into the trip, we get a scratch on the bottom. We turn back to mark it so we can fish it on the way back. Keith drops a sting silver on a flounder rod and comes up with a little kitty mitchell grouper. All the while, the Furuno is lighting up from the bait and marking good bottom. We go back and both drop sting silvers on flounder rods. We both get blasted. Short fights with lost sting silvers. We have to get our metal back. We decide to drop anchor on this spot. Good decision. We ended up with two limits. Keith spends most of his time under the water chasing critters but he did a fine job of gettin em and stayin dry today. This is Keith with a nice red.

There were some nice gags there that had their way with us but this one was just unlucky I guess

Box looked pretty good after about an hour and a half

I had a great time today Keith. You had no mercy on them. Enjoyed it. No complaints. Life is good. Slip.

Way to catch them fish on hook and line Keith! I imagine they pull plenty when you stick'em, but feeling them on hook and line is special.

Brother Slip, you are the man! 3 trips, 3 new marks and 5 limits of fish. I call that pretty impressive.

It's time to go looking for your stud bull and fat cobia now!

Slip, what an awesome day. You worked hard to put us on some nice fish. You call it "luck", I call it skill and expeirence. I also enjoyed playing around with the flounder rods to get things fired up. What a rush! Good job putting a hurting on that nice gag. Next time out we"ll work on those mahi's! Again thanks for the great day on the water and keep up the good work.
