    Slip's fishin report 5/17

Worknot had a permission slip to go today. So we went. He had to be back early to meet the electrician to install the new Viking range/oven. Left at noon, he needed to be back home by 6:00. Felt a little pressure, especially with the seas not cooperating like the marine forecasters said they would. We made bait at 10 miles, and pushed our way through a somewhat washing machine like ocean. Two tenths of a mile from the numbers, on the same ledge, we get some nice marks and decide to drop. We both hook up with nice reds. We drop iron and mission is accomplished pretty quickly. One stop shopping makes for a good day. Worknot had no mercy on them today. I enjoyed it Joe. You have good reason to fire up the new stove. Hope the wife is happy with the fish. I know she will whip up some creative plates with the filets. This is Worknot with the catch. These pics do not do the fish justice. The gag that Joe caught was 30 inches. I have to carry a camera on the boat at some point. No complaints. Life is good. Slip.

Oh man, I want to eat at Joe's this weekend! That kitchen will be rocking!
Good job captain Slip. Nothing like a bit of pressure to bring out the best in you. Good report and catch.

Slip, thanks for the tip to try warmer water. It worked. We didnt put as many keepers in the cooler but we did manage constant action for the :45 or so we had out there. you gotta ride on my new boat, if it was like a washer machine to you it was small chop for us. We cruised at 32kts sometimes pushing it up as high 40! Im on vacation next week, callif you need someone to pull anchor. Again thanks

Pretty work, Nick - that's what practice will do for ya! Way to make it look easy. Somebody's gotta make a Harris Teeter run for some panko.....and maybe a Stella Artois or twelve!

Hey Keith glad to hear you all had a good trip. The new boat looks great. Sounds like she ran great too. Congratulations. Would love to take her for a ride. It wasn't bad out there today ,by any means, it just seemed like the seas were coming from different directions. I'll be around next week, except for Monday.
