Slip Slidin Report 8/28

JMS and I headed out in search of a few bottom dwellers today. Netted a few pin fish at the dock and cruised out of the inlet. Stopped and jigged a few more baits and headed offshore. Pretty nice ride out. Drifted a couple of places and anchored a couple of more that produced a few reds and scamps. By this time, we noticed a dark cloud heading our way. JMS said it was packing heat. We were already hot enough and didn't feel like dealing with any more heat. So we headed back inshore. Along with the storm, the winds and seas built up pretty damn good. Actually, it started blowing like a hooker on dollar day if that tells you anything. We thought the wind was only associated with the storm but it continued to blow the remainder of the afternoon. We stopped at an inshore spot that gave up a few gags with only one being a keeper. We decided that we had enough of the beating and called it a day. Biscoto stopped by to check out the catch and get some goodies for his trip tomorrow. Here is a shot of the ones that made it for the ride back.

Pretty work Slip and Matt, nothing better than some tasty bottom dwellers. Yes the wind did pick up this afternoon, but not like yesterday, we got some trees down from that one...

Nice catch Nick and Matt. It sucks when Mother Nature cuts your fishing day short! Glad to see you guys picked up some fish of a different color, i.e. not all RED!

High quality meat, as usual, brother Slip. Sorry I couldn't go today, but glad I missed the wind and storm. I had enough rain and blow for one week!
Thanks for the jigs and plugs. Hoping to put them to good use tomorrow.
