Headed out this morning with Biscoto and Matt. Plan was to troll for wahoos in the morning and to try the bottom critters in the afternoon. We made it offshore to a very welcoming ocean and trolled for a while with a couple of mystery bites on the planer that didn't make it for an identification. A while later the planer gets bit again and doesn't come tight, the right short gets bit and stays tight. First sailfish on. Two seconds later the left short gets bit and stays tight. Second sailfish on. Doubled up.
Trolled for a while after releasing the sails and got a few more bites. One sailfish that pulled the hooks after a head shake. A mystery fish that came unglued on the right flat and a stinky.
We decided to bring the stuff in and look for a few bottom dwellers. Tried a couple of spots close to the break but didn't produce much. Worked back inshore and found a nice little trigger fish bite. Early on Biscoto got bit by one that drew some blood. Well that was a costly bite for the trigger population.
We caught the first lion fish that I have encountered.
Along with the triggers there we found a hog fish.
We picked up and moved further inshore in search of a few groupers. We found a few that cooperated fairly quickly. Heres a shot of the corner that Matt was standing in.
And a few shots with some nicuns.
Went to try one more spot before heading for the hill and pulled this fella out to cap off a great day.
The lineup.
Enjoyed it today fellas. Thanks for a fantastic day. No complaints. Life is good. Slip.

Sweet, nice mess of fishes you have there... Congrats on your Sails, very cool...
I see you found the touch on getting the Spinies...Nick and I were talking about that day before yesterday.
Weather Gods have been nicw=e to us lately...
It took me about fifteen minutes to stop laughing after reading this report. A PM from Biscoto tipped me off that there was a war wound involved. I saw the sailfish and thought to myself......SELF, Biscuit knows better than to mess with those pointed things.
That's when I read further.
I gotta say...either Slip is being easy on ya or the bite was bad. I hope it was only a little nick....no pun intended.
I actually made a comment two weeks ago on those teeth.
As for the rest of the catch...what can we say. The reports just keep getting better. Carnage at it's finest.
Life is Good indeed. Thanks for making my day with this report.
