What a great catch and awesome report as usual. Lobster and hog make for a very fine meal but I see no sign of eating the Lion... Did you not try that?

Way to go, nice to see you guys are out thinning the triggers. What did you do with the lion? Some people say they taste great, just wondering. Man, some grouper and trigger nuggets are sounding real good.
    lines tight!

What an awesome looking dockshot! My phone automatically turned on this morning at 7:00am and I had a text message from Matt that read:
"2 for 3 on sails, 40 trigs, 3 scamps, 1 red, 1 gag, a hogfish, then a bigass lobster to top it off"

All I could do is smile and mutter "assholes" Excellent job guys! Made me hate my drive back from Charleston yesterday even more.

Also congratulations Slip for several firsts on your boat yesterday---your first angled NC sail, first hogfish on your new boat, first lionfish, and first lobster on the new boat. I'd say she's about primed up for her first wahoo killing very soon! (The full moon is next weekend and we all know what happens on a full moon in Sept......them teethy boogers go to bitin'!)

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. Here are a few more shots from yesterday.

We drifted and anchored during the day. Seemed much more productive when we were anchored. The lion fish was approximately 55 miles. Holwachogot pretty much answered the question as far as fishing for lobsters with hook and line.
The hogfish came on a jig. The triggers ate jigs, cut bait, and Biscoto fingers.

HAHAHA... I love it. Can you at least tell us how to rig Biscuit's finger?

Great report. I tell you, every time you guys post reports I get am overwhelmed at the variety, size, and detail. You guys know not only how to catch, but also how to invite all of SF on the boat for the trip! I am going tomorrow (WX permitting) and hope to be able to do the same.
