Got the date right this time. Biscoto and I had a very special guest on board this day. My Dad. Got a bean bag for him a while back and told him we would give it a try. He could not wait to break it in. Pretty nice weather wise for the better part of the day. Blew up a little for the ride back but not bad enough to make it too uncomfortable. We catered to the old man (73) all day and in return he filled the fish box up for us. He whipped em. Made his son of 40 years very proud. I must admit that I was a nervous wreck all day worrying if he was "all right" the entire time. The little boat offers little in the way of comfort and space, especially for three people on board, but we managed pretty good. The old fella was a trooper the entire day. Definitely the most memorable day for me on the slip slidin. Hopefully there will be many more like this one. Here are a few pics.
This was a sand tiger that Biscoto fought on the light line for a good thirty minutes. Big ole rascal. Estimated at about 150-175.
Had the best time ever on the slip slidin without even fishing. Got to mate for my dad and watched the big grin on his face every time he hoisted another over the side. Biscoto, I enjoyed this one a little more than all the rest and thanks for your help in makin this a special day on the water for all of us. No complaints. Life is good.
