Bit me Lou was supposed to go with us today, but I think got skeered by the 3-5 forecast. Wasn't pretty but it was doable.
Here's what Lou missed:
My first ever tagged grouper
A hawg
Rainbow box
Meat shot

You know whats weird? I did not get a call yesterday from either one of you guys. LOL![]()
Pretty work fellas
Beautiful job guys- mmmm grouper nuggets... mmmmm
would love to know the background on the tagged gag....keep us posted.
pretty work.
I think Alex and Anthony NG are involved on the grouper tagging here out of MHC. I will call them and get the scoop.
Strange looking tagging situation Matt. Looks like a standard white zip tie, looped through the fish's skin and muscle just below the dorsal. Can't find any info printed on the tag (there was one large barnacle growing on it!).
I'll post pics later today.
I'm thinking perhaps one of the fish used in local bladder decompression studies?
I think Marine fisheries maintains such a program.
I'll try to figure it out.
