Like the others have said, take a moment and watch what is happening. I like to assess what has stayed tight and where might I have a tangle/or crossed line. I like to get everything going straight back behind me then get folks cranking them in. While they are cranking, I ask them to tell me when and if they see a problem occuring...don't wait until you're crossed with other fish. I say this because once folks are fighting fish, I'll pull in what needs to be pulled in order to effectively boat the hooked fish. If the bait is smashed, I'll re-rig while they are fighting fish. Basically it comes down to letting everything pan out, assess what you've got on your hands and then communicate...and most of all enjoy since the 5-6-7 rod cover up is what we are out there trying to achieve!
