I have a few days off and can't seem to catch a break with the wind right now. So I thought I would tie some Wahoo lures. I went to Capt Joe Shutes and picked up a couple of 1 oz and 3 oz bullet heads, some hair and a couple of squid skirts. I put the skirts on the 3 oz heads with hair and mylar, on the 1 oz heads I just put hair and mylar bling, bling.

I have some others that I have tied in other colors, but the colors I chose for these was, Black, purple, and purple mylar, and orange, red, black with orange mylar.

I'm open to any thoughts on how I could improve these would be great. The pictures do not really do them justice, my hand model (my wife) thinks they look good. She even mentioned something about halloween decorations, I don't think so.

Good to see your model is up and able to help show off your nice wahoo lures. Hope that wind lays down for you soon so you can use them things. Looking forward to seeing some wahoo photos.

I've been known to decorate the Christmas tree with a few unrigged lures, So why not Halloween Decorations?

It is one way to keep your better half away from such awful comments as "Do you really need another lure?"

Looks good Ponce! Nice meeting you the other day, you'll enjoy the planer set up, it's a proven killer!!!!! Like E40 said Orange head purple/black on the WWB or the flat, the slobs will be chewing

Are you gonna run these with some meat or just hooks when you troll for those toothy ones? Also, what kind of wire do you normally use for these guys?

I am heading up to hatteras next week and I am just trying to get an idea of what works the best. Your lures look really great!
