Well, the carrier pegged the screw counter at 70 knots, this would have been in 1985, during the sea trials for the Teddy Rooseveldt, it wouldn't have had a full complement of men or equipment. but it is still big and it has a few nuclear reactors to power that beast. I was on an old tin can and it went fom way off the starboard side to running away on the port side in no time flat. It was impressive.
