    SHARK TOURNAMENT DONE RIGHT!

AT A TIME WHEN I WOULD NORMALLY FIND MYSELF TRYING TO SLIDE A GIANT BFT INTO THE PIT....I FOUND MY SELF TODAY ON THE COUCH SLIDING DARK RED ROUSETT CHIPS INTO MY MOUTH AND WATCHING ESPN2 LYING FLAT ON MY BACK....FEET PROPPED UP.....WHAT WAS MORE AMAZING THAN THAT IS I WAS WATCHING A FLORIDA SHARK TOURNAMENT

HOLEY SMOLEY! ...MY FAITH HAS BEEN RESTORED SOMEWHAT IN PRODUCTION FILM CREWS AND ESPN....I NOW APOLOGIZE TEMPORARILY AND HOPEFULLY NOT PREMATURELY TO ESPN FOR ALL THE NASTY THINGS I HAVE SAID ABOUT THEM CONCERNING SOME OF THEIR FISHING & HUNTING SHOWS!

I ACTUALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE "MAD FIN SHARK SERIES !!!!BRAVO

IT FEATURED SEVEN--TWO MAN TEAMS EACH WITH A CAMERA MAN.....ALL RELEASE .....5FT MINIMUM LENGTH AND PLUS BONUS POINTS FOR HOOK REMOVAL.......THESE TWO MAN TEAMS DID 50 TIMES A BETTER JOB THAN THE 5,6,7 MAN TEAMS THE WORLD RECENTLY WITNESSED ON VERSUS A WHILE BACK.

THE ACTION WAS GREAT....THE VOCALS WERE PLEASANT....THERE WAS NO BITCHING...WHINING...NOR SCREAMING AT WIVES AND CREW MATES.!

THE ANGLING SKILLS WERE SUPERB! I SAY AGAIN....THE ANGLING SKILLS WERE SUPERB!!! A COMPLEAT TURNAROUND FROM THE OTHER SHARK SHOWS AS OF LATE.......LIGHT TACKLE...TAIL ROPED FISH...PLUS HOOK REMOVAL......5 STAR

GUYS LAUGHING...SMILING...NO TANK TOPS......NO BICEP POSES FOR THE CAMERA!!! JUST PLAIN OL KEY WEST SHARK FISHING

NOW I DO REALIZE THAT THERE ARE VARIABLES IN FLORIDA STYLE SHARKING AND SHARKING WEST OCOAST AND NEW ENGLANDWATERS.......WATER CLARITY....DEPTH....ETC .....BUT STILL.....I TIP MY RIGGERS TO ALL TEAMS FOR A FIRST CLASS SHOWING!!!!YOU GUYS REDEFINED SHARKING PROFESSIONALISM!

TEAMS LIKE REMAN...CROOKED ISLAND....VOODOO DADDY....FINESSE AND LEY LIMEY AND ACTION CRAFT

AND IF THERE WAS CHANGES AND INSERTIONS IN THE EDITTING ROOM ....I COULDN'T SEE IT.....IT LOOKED FILMED AND SHOWN .AS IT HAPPENED.....THE WAY IT IS MEANT TO BE.....ROUND TWO COMING SOON I HOPE TO ESPN!!!

I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS TOURNAMENT IS CURRENT...5 YEARS OLD?...OR A ESPN RE-RUN.....BUT I DO KNOW IT WAS AWESOME

HERE IS A VIDEO CLIP INTRO: http://www.madfinsharkseries.com/mul...adFinIntro.php

Watched it myself. Couldn't agree more. Not one "bleep" in whole coverage. These guys are real pros. Two men with medium tackle landing and releasing sharks at 8 feet long.
    Class act.

ive also watched this tourney, and i am VERY impressed. they fish very hard, and also differently than the other shark tournies. they are mainly fishing shallow water, sometimes flats, inlets, and cuts, and its pretty sweet to watch a 9ft shark in 4ft of water on this show. they also use fairly light gear on the show from what ive seen, it is not all igfa though i dont believe, saw a few of them using braid.

its definately cool that they get extra points for getting the hook out ! pretty sweet watching someone else and ur not ur hand near a sharks mouth

    I havent decided yet.
Yeah the Mad Fin was cool. I just wish they would show it in it entireity rather than segments but still good stuff. One of the guys fishing in the Mad Fin ( a charter guide I wont name here) took me fishing in April shortly after the tourny. he told me about it while we caught big sharks including bull, lemon, & an 8 ft. saw fish. All on Medium heavy spinning tackle. We also caught ladyfish, reds, snook, jacks, and snapper casting lures. It was blowing hard all week and I had 3 other guides cancel on me because of the wind. I was on my annual vacation to Key west an so desperate to fish I finally went to a local tackle shop and harassed some of the guides until one said he would take me as long as I understood the conditions were poor. We had a blast and he earned a repeat customer for years to come..
