    We are fixing up a 32 Albemarle and one of the guys advised against them because it is difficult to work on the cutlass bearing. From the pic it looks like that might be true. Any thoughts?

    I wonder what the trade off of v-struts vs shaft tubes is. Do the tubes overcome the drag of the v-struts? I just changed from v-struts to single blade struts and trying to come up with how to add tubes with a intermediate strut. any one have any pics of this setup?

    All the boats I have seen them on have been 50 foot or larger. I don't think it would help that much on a smaller boat. Thats just my opinion. But as far as changing the cutlass you would just have to cut them loose and then just glass them back. The way I understand it was that its for fuel economy on charter boats running day in and day out. A little savings over a long period amounts to a lot!
