Seems like yesterday..

when our Godfather Bite Me Lou told me for the umpteenth time that I needed to join SFC. At the time I have had enough of this kind of thing with all the back biting, bickering and bashing that goes on all the other sites I would go on, why would I want to join this one...
Well I lurked around for a couple of weeks and low and behold what did I find but first the Box & Extreme boat Brian that I already knew as well as a couple of others and a strong Wrightsville Beach crowd...hum this could be good. Next thing I noticed was the people on this board wanted to help each other and they weren't calling each other names, bashing each other...wow this could be good. After an interdiction from Bite Me Lou and a warm welcome from some of the almost 5,000 members I sat back read and listened to what everyone had to offer and realized that I had a little to offer also. So a few videos that I've done (with a lot of help from Jer, Admin, Box and Lou) and a couple of threads that I started along the way, on the evening of Feb the 15th 2008...2,000 posts have flown by as well as a couple of years almost.

Hard to believe that we now have 18,599 members....

One of the coolest things that has happened through this site is the fishing that I have been blessed to do with some of you, Lou, Box, the Block, Overboard Jake, BTH284, MikeLPL, Noyankeefan Alex the Beast, OseaD and little OseaD ( found him his first Sailfish...) Dave Sikorski the Nicks and many others that I am missing (sorry, brain Fart...CRFS thing...) What a short great trip its been...thanks...

I have seen the site recently go through a bunch growing pains and will go through some more, but all in all I have a great extended Family. Thanks to all of you for all the kind words along the way. Its been great meeting and talking to some of you and looking forward to meeting more of you. I thank you all for reading what I have had to say along the way...

Great post Lee - you certainly are a pillar of what makes this board world class. One of my best fishing days last year was working the pit with Marty and chattin' with you at the helm of the Bite Me during last year's Father/Kid extravaganza. Maybe I'll catch you at the Roanoke this year at home around WB/CB waters. Either way - I look forward to fishing and learning with you again, soon.
