Seawitch Design – Comments or Suggestions Wanted

Seawitch experts (ie box, joe shute and others) -

Stemme, the mate on the Hobie II, made this witch and we plan on filling a couple dredges with them. it was made with materials from joe shute. Before he makes 24 more of them, i wanted to see if there are any changes you would make or suggestions you have. any and all comments are welcome.

    thanks

thanks fellas, I pulled one through the bath tub and it looked purdy.

I am using rigging floss to tie it all down. Do you guys recommend super glue? My fly tying days are coming in handy.

I am thinking about blue and whites on the double dredge with a big pink and white follower. who knows, just having fun.
Joe, thanks for the materials they are very nice. Once again I may have underestimated the materials that I need and will probably have to call you for another order.

I was using 35# rigging floss but bought some different stuff from Capt. Joe's last week. I believe it was 70# wax thread or something (maybe he'll chime in here). I found it a lot easier to handle than the other stuff. I've never used glue, usually by the time mine have worn out it should be time to retie anyways and glue just makes that more difficult! Plenty of people do use it though. Just a personal preference.

    Nice looking witches.
