JMS, Slip Slidin and I decided to take advantage of the forecasted good weather & run my SeaBiscuit offshore for a little bottom bouncing. Seas were great inshore, a little choppy on a NE breeze offshore. Fished 76 degree blue water, 130 feet deep, current into the wind, but lucky enough to get the iron to stick. First drop brought up a little red grouper with a massive gaffer in hot pursuit! I hand fed the gaffer until Slip Slidin got the jig rod. The fish inhaled the jig and gave us a show foaming the water all around the boat. On one of his many jumps, he managed to spit the hook & then proceeded to hang around all lit up as if laughing at us! We had many dolphin visitors to the boat at various times today, but somehow managed to drop 6 or 7 fish before puting a couple of bailers in the box.
Didn't drop many groupers though. Some had their way with us, but a good many ended up on ice. Scamps, reds and tropicals today.
Here's a few pictures
Matt with a red & scamp double
Fat Broomtail
Pretty little tropical (stawberry)
Slip Slidin with a plump puddinhead fish (red grouper)
Smooth ride back at 30 knots.
Slip Sliding having a little "down" time
The meat:
Great day on the water. Bite me and Holwatchagot, come get you some!

. slip slidin got his carnage on as well. i looked at him after he had just decked a slob red.....he had this look in his eye that scared me. beleieve me, the nicks do not drop to the bottom to play around. they are like the school bully taking lunch money from those groupers
