Way to put something together. Nice pictures, man I would hate have that shark comp down on me, he has some serious grills.

Excellent pics. I got to admit that you are a WAY better fisherman than me Biscuit, as I am way to scared to let a keeper Gag go. We always talk about doing it with snapper, just never can get the nerve up to take that chance.

Glad to see you were able to get some meat for the grill from the trip. Nice Sandtiger.

Your boy is looking great Steve. Growing up fast, as I'm sure you've noticed.
Sand tigers are a protected species here on the East coast, so we always cut them loose.

That shark looks like the one that took a big hunk of my king that i caught at the tower on Saturday.

    Fred,

Just got a call from a friend who fished the tower yesterday and he got a 43lb king and 2 AP's one 38lb and one 20lb.

The thrill of "you never know"

If you go fishing in a farm pond stocked with crappie, bream, and catfish, almost surely every tug of the line you're pretty sure you're gonna pull up a crappie, bream, or catfish of some description. And while fishing is fishing and I can thrill to a shellcracker on a cane pole with crickets just the same, surely one of the neverending thrills of saltwater fishing is the incredible anticipation of never knowing what might visit your bait. Was that nibble just bait stealers or was it a trophy just sniffin'? You're just about to quit for the day - and out of nowhere, a good bite keeps you at it for another 2 hours and makes you late for supper. All because when you drop a hook in the brine, be it shallow or deep, you just never know.

So when the line comes tight, a little High Stickin'...
    "Feels heavy and it's swimming"

Followed by a little Low Stickin'....
    "I see color!.."

And then the big reveal of what came to play today.
    Video Player

Desperate for some salt air doesn't begin to describe my condition after last week. And when my Southport girl coughed on the port side.... well... No medicine like a quick plan B!

Thanks for takin' us fishing Nick. Recharged the batteries a little and my childspirit is once again fed and well.

    It's good to be alive.

Nice sandtiger. Hate you couldn't get to the break. We're going to try it on the Blackfin on wednesday. Hopefully the 'hoos will bite.
