Well Lil Biscuit has two on the old man. He caught the first sailfish on the Seabiscuit and now the first red snapper. I think you have created a monster. Congratulations on a great catch fellas. Very nice snapper Jason. The good luck charm strikes again. Happy to see that Biscoto put you on the bottom critters John.

Beautiful Snapper Jason - way to go. We arrived Sat eve at Hatteras and are having our way with specs, puppies, black drum and virginia mullets in the surf. Headed off for yellowfins tomorrow and looking forward to it coming SW for a big drum wind on T-day. Will post a report when I get home.
Congrats on breaking a 10 year search, J - did you put the panko on him?
Thanks John for joining Jason and I last Saturday and for writing a very nice report. Thanks everyone else for the nice comments.
Box count was 6 gags, 8 reds and one hind. One ARS, 2 dozen beeliners (2-4s) and a few triggerfish. A good day.
The snapper was a very special treat and I can't think of anyone I'd rather see catch one that my first mate Lil' Biscuit. Cooked it whole on oak coals with fresh kale greens and rice pilaf. Lord have mercy!
I must brag on Johnboy as well. One could never find a more pleasant, helpful and capable fishing partner. He put the breaks on every fish that tried him (except the first big one!) including some stout reef donkeys! The man can wind! I'm sure captain Brian will be pleased to hear that seeing that GBFT season is upon us!
More importantly, it was neat to watch big John go from angler to father and professional mate each and every time Jason found himself "busy":
Jason and I were happy to have you John and hope you'll join us again in the future.
