Not responding thru public forums is probably a good business decision of the part of sea tow. Just for example, I don't think they want to get caught up in a mudslinging contest over a salvage job that they had to charge for if some idiot ran across jetty rocks and figure he should be saved for free. I do however appreciate swancaller calling attention to a problem he had to help look after fellow fisherman. If seatow won't allow capt. stewart to post then maybe some of the OI regulars can keep us informed on the situation.

I called him earlier today and he assured me that the coverage is still 40 miles offshore.

Sea Tow isn't the only entity that won't allow their employees (a franchisee can be considered an employee of the company) respond over the internet. The NC Division of Marine Fisheries employees are not allowed to participate in internet fishing forums either. Think of how many fisheries questions they could answer, but they can't not respond. They do in fact read various forums...I've had them tell me that face to face...but they are not allowed to respond.

Sounds to me like Sea Tow corporate office does not want internet forums like this one exposing the fine print of their contracts to Zoom+ Mode.

So.. you dig up a two year old thread and sign up just to tell us something. I'd like to see the fine print you talk about but more important, you must have had an incident recently. What happened??
