    SBFT videos from november

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just found some videos from the fall.

First video you can hear the reel start to sing as we hook up

A short run then it starts a run to the boat, but Justin is able to catch up to him

After a short 30 minute fight, Justin is out of gas, and I need to get the last bit of line on. The fish fight MUCH harder with out the bar dragging with them.

When was that fish caught if you don't mind me asking?* I'm in So. Jersey and this year, though I personally was not able to get out because late Spring early Winter is popular Striper fishing for charters and we were booked for the majority of the weather premiting days.* But very good friends of mine had given it there all with sluggos for Giants in the area with no luck.* The fish were there but no takers.* Can you give me any pointers on how to troll these lures??* Where in the spread, recommended speed, how many in the spread, etc.?* I agree I think these fish were swimming and eating Sandeels.* I was suprised when Striper fishing I didn't come across and BFT on my Sandeel dredge.* Maybe the the dredge itself wasn't very appealing at the time.* But I would love to get into some winter time GBFT!* It would be really nice to show off a Giant rather then Stripers!* Thanks for the help!!!

They were caught in November up here on Stellwagen Bank, off of cape cod MA. We slow troll them, 2-3mph. We troll a single off of each out rigger, and one down the middle short. It seems like that is all you needed up here. You could get creative and troll 5-7 with weights...etc. We rig them with 7' 100 pound mono, to a SPRO swival. With a 8/0 owner hook
Not my picture, but you get the idea on how to rig them.
