    Saturday on the Mak'N Do

Took my little 20' CC to the Big Rock Saturday morning. Remind me next year not to pick the last day of the Big Rock tourney to go, with 180 + big boat wakes. Big boat traffic wakes gave us a work out all the way to 90' drop. Fishing for our small spread as slow, we managed 5 dolphin with about 20 short stikes. About 15 lbs was the biggest. Never saw anything other than a little scattered grass. We had equal strikes on both pink/white and blue/white bally hoo. Nothing to brag about but we didn't starve either. Aside from the rough ride out, I was pleased with the way the boat did. This was my first long trip with my 200 HPDI. Burned 46 gallons for the 13 hour trip. Not sure how that compares to others. Sorry, no pics this time.

We had the same experience, but turned and went through the slot. Once on the other side it was as pretty as you would want with no boat wakes.

Dad even said, "This is worse than bluefin season" I told him the next time we fish during that one, we are leaving at 4:00.

should have followed you sea draggin

didn't know for sure we were going on my "volkswagon" till the last minute. Plan A was my bosses boat which needed carb repair, didn't make it out of the shop. How about shouting me your slot numbers if you get a chance, never been to the east side.
