"If at first you don't succeed, don't try skydiving"
Sat 4/10 HI report
The plan was for some yellow bellies like they had been on earlier in the week but the blow screwed that up. We broke the inlet to a steady 15-20 NE wind and a nice swell motored on out to find nothing but green 62 degree water. We worked a little further east still nothing so we set line out near a small break, had some porposises and pilot whales working the area but no marks, no bait, nothing dead
. Finally heard some chatter of a bluefin bite about 15-18 miles up the beach we decided to make the run. Well it worked out
The wind and the sea layed out nice. Set lines out had 2 explosions 1 on the port flat line and the other on the wwb neithre came tight then the starboard long rigger goes of fish on, after a 20 min fight have the fish beside the boat decide to kill it nice 157# tuna. We set back out and the fish are everywhere the water looked silver with them they were so thick. After 5 other releases on 50# class fish I drop a jig down on some good marks Game On first drop fish pulls, start ripping it again hooked up again nicer fish this time. It was the first time doing the vertical jiggin deal won't be the last what a blast.

Yeah you gotta love it. It was a long ride but well worth it, just wish I could get a couple of more days in them but work calls for now.
