Mac Mizelle passed away last night after a long battle with cancer. His funeral is set for 2 pm Friday at Franklin Memorial Methodist on Arendall St., Morehead City. He was a good friend to many, and will be missed greatly.
OMG.......LORD BLESS HIS FAMILY DURING THEIR TIME OF NEED
GOOD OL MACK.....GEEZ. ....BUDDY, I FOR ONE WILL MISS YOU.....YOU ALWAYS WERE CALLING YOUR BUDDIES OFFSHORE TO GET AN EARLY FISHING REPORT TWO HOURS BEFORE THEY ARRIVED DOCKSIDE!
YOU PLAYED THE OFFSHORE GAME WELL IN YOUR TIME....AND WAS A CREDIT TO THE COCKPITS OF THE WORLD
MANY OF YOU GUYS OUT THERE FELT THE LOVE AND DONATED SOME EXPENSE MONEY TO MACK TO HELP DEFRAY HIS MEDICAL EXPENSES AND FUEL TO MAKE THE DR. VISITS....FOR THIS, I TIP MY RIGGERS TO YOU ALL...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE
CAPT BRIAN OF EXTREME MEASURES CHARTERS SPEARHEADED THE FUND RAISER A COUPLE YEARS AGO ....AND HE AND OTHERS ALWAYS GAVE THE FISHING INVITE TO THIS OCEAN WARRIOR TO RIDE ALONG WHETHER IT BE DRUM OR BFT ....
A big loss for the waterfront and it's community. Mr. Mack was a good man who treated even this out of town stranger with a funny accent like a friend.
May God rest his soul

I first met Mack a few years ago after a makeup on the Run Off. He always spoke to me after that. A nicer, kinder gentleman could not be found when he was around. I am sorry to hear this. I will keep him and the family and his friends in my prayers. Tight lines to you Mack up in heaven and I am jealous about your view of the sea from now on.
Go rest high on that mountain Mac, you will be missed. One fighting illness such as Mac, always took time to ask about others, putting concern for their well being before his. Hopefully your family can rest now, knowing you are free of pain.
God bless.
The waterfront was certainly a somber place today. The black flags flying from all the riggers today was a true sign of respect for Mac, a man that will be missed for many years on that waterfront.
