Sad News from Morehead City

Just received word from the Wahoo Challenge that it has been discontinued. I will miss it, it was one of our favorite tournaments. The weather seems to have been a challenge every year, but the fishing was great. Maybe someone else will give it another chance. Thanks Adrian, Dale, Curtis, and Holly!

you gonna have the Ava D in Hatteras any this summer? I'd love to see her finished and in the water.

Sad news... I only got to fish it once, but it was a great time and great event. I just read the release on the website. They're right about the weather issues. The one year I did fish it (fall 2008), it was postponed until November due to weather, and we still ended up with 8-10 footers on the last day.

We plan to have her in Hatteras some this summer. We are definitely fishing the Marlin Club tournament. Plan to stop by and visit.

As soon as a Bermudian boat and crew wins they cancel it!!!!!!! Hmmmmm.... interesting. Too bad.

Maybe make the entry fee lower and they would have had a lot more boats in it.I know the weather has been a factor in the past.Wasn't the entry fee something like $1000 to get in?

That's too bad. It was a tough time of year to manage the weather but usually was an awesome tournament.

That is sad. Last year was my first time in the tourney and was looking forward to fishing it this year also.
